We built CareerFufu to save you time without compromising your data. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Workcoholic LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the CareerFufu platform, accessible at careerfufu.com or careerfufu.vercel.app and related subdomains (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, discontinue use of the Service.
1Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: Your name and email address when you register for an account.
- Resume content: The text and structured data of any resume you upload to the Service, including job titles, employer names, employment dates, responsibilities, skills, and education history ("Resume Data").
- Job descriptions: URLs or text of job postings you submit for tailoring.
- Payment information: Billing details you provide when purchasing a subscription or credits. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number or CVV on our servers.
- Communications: Messages you send us through support channels.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, clicks, and other interactions with the Service, collected via Vercel Analytics.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps.
- Performance data: Page load times and Core Web Vitals collected via Vercel Speed Insights.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
If you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
2How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Process your Resume Data through AI models (currently Anthropic's Claude API) to generate tailored resumes and cover letters;
- Verify the factual integrity of AI-generated outputs against your original resume;
- Process payments and manage your subscription or credit balance via Stripe;
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts, usage alerts);
- Monitor, analyze, and improve the performance and security of the Service;
- Respond to your support requests;
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your Resume Data to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
3.1 Service Providers
We engage the following third-party processors to operate the Service. Each is contractually bound to process your data only as directed by us:
- Anthropic, Inc. — AI processing. Your Resume Data and job description text are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API to generate and verify tailored content.
- Supabase, Inc. — Authentication and database hosting. Your account information, Resume Data, and application records are stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure.
- Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing.
- Vercel, Inc. — Hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring.
3.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public.
3.3 Business Transfers
If Workcoholic LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Service before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
4Data Retention
We retain your account information and Resume Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
AI-generated resume outputs are retained in your account history until you delete them or delete your account.
5Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection / Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
- Opt-out of sale (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. No opt-out mechanism is required, but you may contact us to confirm.

7Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
8International Data Transfers
Workcoholic LLC is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.
9Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where required by applicable law, by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
