Terms of Service
By using CareerFufu you agree to these terms. They cover your account, payments, what you can and can't do, and how we resolve disputes.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Workcoholic LLC, a limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the CareerFufu platform, including all related websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service in any manner, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
1Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age and capable of forming a binding contract under applicable law to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2Account Registration
To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration;
- Maintain and promptly update your account information;
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party;
- Notify us immediately at workcoholic.hi@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.
3Description of the Service
CareerFufu is an AI-assisted resume tailoring platform that generates customized resumes and cover letters based on your uploaded resume and a provided job description. The Service uses large language models (currently Anthropic's Claude API) to analyze, reorder, rephrase, and reformat your existing resume content to better align with a target role.
The Service does not guarantee employment outcomes, interview invitations, or job offers. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing all output before submitting it to any employer.
4User Content and Responsibilities
4.1 Your Content
You retain all ownership rights in the content you upload to the Service, including your resume, job descriptions, and any other materials ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Workcoholic LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.
4.2 Accuracy of Your Content
You represent and warrant that your User Content is accurate and does not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, credentials, or employment history. You acknowledge that the Service is designed to tailor — not fabricate — your resume, and that submitting false information to us or to prospective employers may have serious legal and professional consequences, for which we bear no responsibility.
4.3 Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Intentionally generate resumes containing fabricated job titles, employers, dates, credentials, or skills you do not possess;
- Submit content that infringes any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service through automated means;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service;
- Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law, including employment, anti-fraud, or data protection laws.
5Credits, Subscriptions, and Payments
5.1 Pricing
The Service offers a free tier with a limited number of tailoring credits, as well as paid subscription plans and top-up credit purchases. Current pricing is described on our Pricing page, which may be updated at any time. Price changes to active subscriptions will be communicated by email at least 14 days in advance.
5.2 Billing and Renewal
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis using the payment method you provide. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features through the end of the period for which you have already paid.
5.4 Refunds
All charges are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated in these Terms. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge at workcoholic.hi@gmail.com and we will review your request in good faith.
5.5 Credits
Credits are consumed each time you generate a tailored resume or cover letter. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and expire upon account termination. Unused credits are not refunded upon subscription cancellation.
6Intellectual Property
6.1 Our IP
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Workcoholic LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
6.2 Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.
7Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Anthropic (AI processing), Supabase (authentication and storage), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of the Service is also subject to any applicable terms and privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party service.
8Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WORKCOHOLIC LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE; OR THAT ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
AI-generated resume content is not legal or professional advice. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any resume you submit to a prospective employer.
9Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WORKCOHOLIC LLC, ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.
10Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Workcoholic LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
11Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, upon notice to you. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 of these Terms survive termination.
12Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and are subject to the Federal Arbitration Act to the extent applicable. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 480 (Hawaii's Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act), including any rights that cannot be waived by private agreement.
Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at workcoholic.hi@gmail.com and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
Binding Arbitration: If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, consistent with Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 658A (Hawaii Uniform Arbitration Act). Arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding and may be confirmed by any court of competent jurisdiction.
Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in the state or federal courts located in Honolulu, Hawaii, solely to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration. Small claims that fall within the jurisdictional limits of Hawaii District Court (currently claims up to $40,000) may be brought in that court at either party's election.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceeding will be conducted on an individual basis only, and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. This waiver does not apply to any claim for which Hawaii law expressly prohibits such a waiver.
Venue for Non-Arbitrated Claims: For any claim not subject to arbitration, you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state or federal courts located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
13Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice via email or prominent in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Workcoholic LLC regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms or any rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely.
- No Third-Party Beneficiaries: These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
